Seeker mindset
You are looking for things that do not belong — wrong hue, odd shadows, human-shaped bulges, or poses that do not match nearby props. Every second spent on empty space is a gift to surviving Hiders.
Visual tells
- Color mismatch — saturation or brightness off vs adjacent surface
- Shadow direction — player shadows that disagree with room lighting
- Outline errors — limbs extending past frames, shelves, or tiles
- Stiff poses — human proportions where objects should be uniform
- Brush noise — smeared paint where the real texture is crisp
Patrol priority
- Perimeter first — walls, corners, and door frames
- Clutter clusters — kitchens, party tables, gallery frames
- Low gaps — under counters and benches (crouch scan)
- Open areas last — only after high-probability zones are clear
Timer management
Split the round into three phases: quick perimeter sweep (first 40%), targeted re-checks on suspicious zones (middle 40%), final rush on remaining open space (last 20%).
Map-specific spots
Verified per-map hiding spots are listed on our Maps pages, sourced from TheGamer (June 2026): Hide-and-Seek Mansion, Indoor Country, Sewer, and Backrooms.
