MECCHA CHAMELEON controls overview

Complete PC controls and keybind reference — movement, paint menu, eyedropper, poses, Seeker tagging, camera views, and Settings.

Every Hider prep phase follows the same MECCHA CHAMELEON controls loop: WASD to your hide spot, F to open the paint menu, eyedropper to sample wall and floor colors, middle mouse to rotate the camera and inspect your body, R to lock a pose, then freeze before Seekers hunt.

MECCHA CHAMELEON controls are closer to a mini art program than a typical shooter. The paint menu includes a color wheel, RGB and HSV sliders, palette swatches, metallic and roughness settings, saved color themes, and a 3D eyedropper (Spoid). Mastering those paint controls matters more than memorizing every movement key.

Default MECCHA CHAMELEON keybinds can change after patches. Use the table below as the June 2026 default layout, then confirm your bindings under in-game Settings after every update.

Movement & camera controls

MECCHA CHAMELEON movement controls are standard PC inputs — but how you use them during prep separates surviving Hiders from obvious white blobs.

In MECCHA CHAMELEON controls, movement is part of the disguise. Reposition until your body outline, sampled wall color, and camera angle all agree. Run to your spot first, then open paint controls — not the reverse.

Before prep ends, rotate the camera with middle mouse (while in paint mode) and check your silhouette from the main doorway angle. Third-person inspection is a core habit for every strong hide.

  • Move: WASD — sprint to your hide spot before prep time ends
  • Look: Mouse — low sensitivity helps Seekers inspect wall edges slowly
  • Camera: Third-person (TPP) and first-person (FPP) views supported
  • Hiders paint in TPP so you can see your full body outline
  • Seekers scan in FPP to catch shadow, gloss, and edge errors up close
  • Crouch in midair drops faster — useful for Seeker movement tech on some maps

MECCHA CHAMELEON paint controls

Paint controls are the core of MECCHA CHAMELEON. Press F (default) to open the paint menu during prep.

The MECCHA CHAMELEON paint menu works like a lightweight art tool: color wheel, RGB and HSV sliders, palette swatches, brush patterns, undo/clear, and saved color themes per map. Strong Hiders follow the same paint-control order every round — eyedropper base color, darker shadow sample, large block fill, then texture lines.

Inside the paint menu, the 3D eyedropper (Spoid) samples exact colors from walls, floors, props, and shadows. Sample the surface you will lean on, not a similar color across the room. Lighting shifts hue more than beginners expect, so MECCHA CHAMELEON paint controls include HSV sliders to nudge value and saturation after sampling.

Metallic and roughness sliders control how your body catches light. A perfect eyedropper match still fails if your model shines like plastic on a matte wall. Adjust roughness to match tile, wallpaper, or painted drywall before you close the paint menu.

Press Spacebar inside the paint menu for quick color picking from the environment. Save palettes as named themes so future rounds on the same map take fewer paint-control inputs.

  • F — open MECCHA CHAMELEON paint menu (default; shown in HUD hints)
  • Eyedropper (Spoid) — sample lit AND shadow tones from your hide surface
  • Middle mouse — rotate camera while painting to inspect from Seeker angles
  • HSV / RGB sliders — fine-tune after eyedropper; match local lighting
  • Metallic + roughness — match surface gloss; critical paint control most beginners skip
  • Color themes — save per-map palettes for faster prep next round
  • Brush patterns — extend tile grout, frame borders, or checkerboard lines
  • Paint large blocks first, texture details last — faster prep, safer hides

MECCHA CHAMELEON pose controls

Pose controls shrink your silhouette. Press R (default) during prep to open the pose menu.

MECCHA CHAMELEON pose controls include standing, crouching, curling into a ball, and wall-flattened poses. Press R, pick a pose that matches nearby objects, then paint to fit that final shape — not the other way around.

Wall-flat poses can stick to surfaces; the HUD shows a dedicated key to release wall-stick when you need to reposition. Lock your pose before prep ends, then hold still. Micro-movement is the top tell Seekers watch for, and MECCHA CHAMELEON pose controls exist to eliminate human-shaped outlines.

To change pose during prep, open the pose menu with R (default). Switch poses only during prep — repositioning mid-hunt usually exposes you unless your spot is already blown.

  • R — open pose menu (default; shown in HUD hints)
  • Wall lean — gallery frames, banners, hallway edges
  • Floor flat — checkered floors and kitchen tiles
  • Crouch / curl — under counters, tables, and low clutter
  • Wall-stick release — follow the on-screen HUD key prompt
  • Set pose before final paint pass so colors align with silhouette

MECCHA CHAMELEON Seeker controls

Seeker controls focus on movement, viewpoint swaps, and the tag interaction — not paint menus.

MECCHA CHAMELEON controls for Seekers are about reading shape and lighting before you tag. Patrol with WASD, sweep in FPP for edge detail, crouch to scan floor hides, and use the tag interaction only after a silhouette mismatch confirms your suspicion.

Methodical sweeps win rounds: perimeter first, then corners, door frames, and clutter zones. Spamming tag inputs wastes time — MECCHA CHAMELEON Seeker controls reward slow, angle-changing inspections over rushing open space.

Watch for glossy reflections, stiff poses, and color blobs that do not belong to any object. Switch TPP/FPP to double-check suspicious shapes from two angles before you commit to a tag.

  • WASD + mouse — patrol routes; low sensitivity for wall inspection
  • FPP view — catch shadow direction and roughness errors
  • Crouch — scan floor-flat Hiders from above
  • Tag / attack — aim at suspect shape, then confirm with interact click
  • Proximity voice — coordinate sweeps or listen for panicked Hiders
  • Do not spam tags — read shape first, color second

Lobby & UI controls

Outside matches, MECCHA CHAMELEON controls also cover server hosting and browsing. Create a private server from the start menu (name, password, player count, region), or browse public lobbies. To play with friends: host presses create, friends find the server by name and enter the password.

Streamer lobbies use the same server browser with public visibility options. Workshop maps and custom stages are selectable in the host UI before you press play.

  • Start menu — host private server or join public matchmaking
  • Server browser — search by name, filter by region and player count
  • Workshop / map picker — host selects stage before launch
  • Settings — rebind every MECCHA CHAMELEON control; reset to defaults after patches
  • Chat — lobby and in-match text where enabled

Voice & spectator controls

MECCHA CHAMELEON includes proximity voice chat — you hear nearby players, not the entire lobby. Spectator controls activate after elimination: free-fly camera plus whistle taunts for party chaos.

  • Proximity voice chat — audible only to nearby players during matches
  • Spectator free camera — fly the map after elimination
  • Whistle taunt — provoke Seekers or entertain stream viewers while spectating
  • Voice bait — coordinate Seeker sweeps or lure Hiders into moving

Rebind MECCHA CHAMELEON controls in Settings

Every MECCHA CHAMELEON control can be rebound. Verify bindings after each patch.

Open Settings from the main menu or pause screen. Rebind paint, pose, tag, and camera keys one at a time so you do not lose track. If MECCHA CHAMELEON controls feel wrong after an update, hit "reset to defaults" and remap only the keys you customize.

Set mouse sensitivity low enough to inspect walls as a Seeker. As a Hider, confirm which key opens the paint menu before prep ends — losing ten seconds hunting for F (or your rebind) is the most common beginner controls mistake.

  • Esc → Settings → Controls — full keybind list
  • Reset to defaults after major patches, then rebind
  • Lower mouse sensitivity for Seeker wall scans
  • Confirm paint (F) and pose (R) keys in a private lobby before ranked chaos

Hider prep controls — step by step

The MECCHA CHAMELEON controls sequence strong Hiders use every prep phase:

  • WASD to your hide spot before opening any menus
  • F — open paint menu; eyedropper base + shadow colors from that surface
  • Middle mouse — rotate camera; confirm body outline from doorway angle
  • Adjust HSV, metallic, and roughness to match local lighting
  • R — open pose menu; pick wall-flat, floor-flat, or crouch pose
  • Paint large color blocks, then brush texture lines last
  • TPP inspect — fix white patches on head, hands, and feet
  • Freeze when prep ends — movement breaks MECCHA CHAMELEON camouflage

Seeker hunt controls — step by step

MECCHA CHAMELEON Seeker controls workflow each hunt phase:

  • FPP + low sensitivity — sweep perimeter walls first
  • Crouch-scan floor tiles and checkered patterns
  • Switch viewpoint on any shape that breaks the room silhouette
  • Tag only after shadow, gloss, or pose mismatch confirms suspicion
  • Corners and door frames before open center space
  • Use proximity voice to coordinate teammate sweeps

Paint control tips

Beyond the default keybinds, these MECCHA CHAMELEON paint controls habits separate strong hides from obvious white blobs:

Everyone starts as a plain white character — you must paint yourself to blend before Seekers hunt. The F paint menu, eyedropper, pose selection, and freeze-on-hide loop are the full control chain.

When hiding behind an object, sample color from its lit side so your back matches how light hits the front. Save color themes per map and inspect your disguise in third person before prep ends — no extra keybinds, just better use of the same MECCHA CHAMELEON controls.

  • Sample lit and shadow tones from your actual hide surface
  • Adjust metallic and roughness — not just hue
  • Save color themes per map for faster prep next round
  • Third-person inspect from the doorway angle before prep ends
  • F for paint menu, R for pose menu (defaults shown in HUD)
